Team Mindfulness: The Next Generation of Team Building

Presented By: Edward Groody
President, Ed Groody & Associates, Inc.

Networking and lunch: 11:30am

Program:  12:00pm - 1:00pm

This talk is for HR executives, trainers and consultants working with groups, teams and departments struggling to get business results due to people issues such as resistance to change, conflict, low morale, and lack of cooperation. There is much in the news and training world about the health, wellness, and leadership benefits of mindfulness for individuals in the workplace. But what about the powerful experience and benefits of group or “team mindfulness”?

This talk will include a brief overview of what mindfulness is and how it relates to teams and team effectiveness. There will be a focus on the stages of group/team mindfulness - and how mindfulness impacts leader effectiveness, team communication, decision making, morale and productivity. This approach to teams allows individuals and teams to get unstuck from negative patterns, let go of personal obstacles to effective and authentic communication and leadership, reduce resistance to change, and get better business results!
