The Association for Talent Development (ATD) is the world's largest association dedicated to the training and development profession, with members representing more than 100 countries.  In the United States, members connect locally through one of the more than 120 area Chapters.  International members connect through one of the more than 16 international partners.  

ATD members work in thousands of organizations of all sizes, in government, as independent consultants, and suppliers.  ATD fills a number of functions for its members, including:

• Providing resources for training and development professionals, educators, and students.
• Bringing professionals together through conferences, workshops, and online events.
• Offering professional development opportunities for training practitioners.
• Serving as the voice of the profession to the media and to public policy makers in the United States.
• Collaborating with other associations, organizations, and educational institutions to advance the profession.
• Recognizing excellence and setting the standards for best practices in learning and performance.

Publishing is one of ATD's largest operations, encompassing the creation and distribution of books, magazines, newsletters, digital content, and research reports.  Through its publications, ATD leads the field with content that advances the profession, highlights proven practices, and raises awareness of the value of learning and performance.
