Professional Development Programs
Our programming is at the heart of the ATD Smoky Mountain Chapter. We strive to address the professional development needs and interests of our members and those who are interested in learning more about workplace development and performance.
Through our monthly meetings, we offer access to subject matter experts, professional speakers, and trainers. Our programs are suitable for certification and recertification approval for professional associations based on the ATD Talent Development Capability Model.

The ATD Smoky Mountain Chapter hosts regular meeting on the third Friday of every month. These regular meetings are a great way to network with peers and Talent Development professionals to spark innovation and creativity while learning about emerging industry trends.
Our monthly meetings are currently being held remotely via Zoom. The meeting program begins at 12:00pm Eastern Time. All meetings are open to the public, but registration is required. Monthly meetings are FREE for active Chapter members, $10 for guests, and $5 for students.
Organization Visits
Opportunities to visit organizations and see their training programs first-hand are offered several times per year. These visits will be announced as they are scheduled.
Chapter Chats
The ATD Smoky Mountain Chapter occasionally hosts informal networking gatherings for breakfast or dinner at various locations. These Chapter Chats focus exclusively on networking and do not follow a set format. Times and locations for Chapter Chats will be announced as they are scheduled.
Special Interest Groups
The ATD Smoky Mountain Chapter actively seeks to collaborate with people and organizations working towards a common focus. This can include student groups and those interested in studying for the APTD or CPTD certifications.
Chapter Partnerships
Occasionally, we collaborate with neighboring ATD Chapters and other professional organizations to promote events focusing on professional development. Additional information on these partnerships will be announced as they become available.
