The Talent Development Capability Model
ATD has developed a Talent Development Capability Model as a framework to outline what training practitioners need to know and do to develop themselves, others, and their organizations.
The Talent Development Capability Model contains three distinct domains: Building Personal Capability, Impacting Organizational Capability, and Developing Professional Capability.

ATD Certifications
Separate yourself from the pack with a competitive advantage by earning certification from the ATD Certification Institute. The two primary certifications are:
The Associate Professional in Talent Development (APTD) is a certification for TD professionals with at least 3 years of experience. A successful APTD candidate understands that well-designed talent development strategies and solutions contribute to organizational success, and has a strong grounding in the foundational knowledge of the field. |
The Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD) is a certification for TD professionals with at least 5 years of experience. This is a broad certification, measuring a professional's knowledge and skill application across the breadth of talent development capabilities |
